About The Course

Advance your creative and digital skills in the Multimedia Production level 6 course offered in Kinsale College. This course builds on students skills gained on our level 5 course and grows their digital expertise and training. Graduates can gain entry into the second year of a level 8 degree course or enter into the exciting field of multimedia production and design.

The majority of work on this course is practical rather than theory based, therefore students are given the opportunity to produce varied and substantial portfolios. Students are given ‘hands-on’ training by experienced teachers who guide and support students through all aspects of multimedia production.

Students also have access to their own editing suite (iMac with Adobe Premiere Pro) and SLR cameras. Graduates of Multimedia Production Level 6 can continue education or enter the professional world. Multimedia production skills are required across all professional industries; a skilled and well-trained media producer has more professional opportunities to find success than ever before.

Student Experiences

“Having returned to education as a full-time mum, Kinsale College has made my endeavours not only achievable but enjoyable due to the support, flexibility and acceptance offered by staff and students alike. Despite my being a technophobe (I choose multimedia to address this) my tutor prevails in getting me past each module with saint like patience. Apart from the top of the range equipment available to us all, we also have our own supply of coffee and cookies.”

“All the students have different life experiences. Some come straight from school and will have developed computer skills but little design knowledge, which the teacher brings out. Others like me want to update and improve lost skills.”
